MALAGOUSIA

Malagouzia is one of the most aromatic and fruity varieties of the Greek vineyard. Since the 70's it is cultivated throughout the territory of Greece and gives wines of high quality and medium acidity.

Its main feature is the rich citrus aromas accompanied by notes of white flowers and linden. 

 

Its color is green with yellow highlights, lively acidity and freshness in taste and moderate aftertaste.

Winemaking / Aging
After the grapes are harvested, the method of pre-fermentation extraction is applied and then the alcoholic fermentation of the juice at graduated temperatures. Stay the wine for 2  months in its wine sludge before bottling.

Terroir

Clay soil with excellent drainage due to the steep slope of the soil.

Argyriou malagouzia

Central Greece. The international variety Chardonnay and the Greek one Assyrtiko are cultivated in the vineyards of Lefkes and Anamero, respectively, in the viticultural zone of Parnassus at an altitude of 400-450 meters.

It is perfectly combined with Mediterranean dishes comprising of seafood appetizers or poultry and smoked cheeses.

 

Served at 8-10ºC.
