MANTEIO RED
The magic of the land of ancient Phocis, where the cultivation of the Argyriou vineyards takes place, emerges from MANTEIO (ORACLE). This is a wine produced from the very local Greek variety Mavroudi and the international one Cabernet Sauvignon.
Protected Geographical Indication Parnassus
Variety Composition
Cabernet Sauvignon, Mavroudi
Vinification/Aging
After harvesting the grapes in cages of 15 kilos, we select the healthy grapes very carefully. Those, then, are taken to the destemming unit (in the absence of a grape mill) and then vinified separately due to the different degree of maturation that each variety has. Cabernet ferments at high temperatures 26-28ºC to achieve the best color intensity, while Mavroudi at 18-22ºC in order to maintain the maximum aromatic potential of the variety. This is followed by aging in French oak barrels.
